Appointment of Director of Engineering & Property Management

Rayburn Doucett, President & CEO of the Belledune Port Authority (BPA) is pleased to announce the appointment of Tracy Eddy, P.Eng. to the position of Director of Engineering and Property Management.

Mr. Eddy is a life-long resident of Bathurst where he has practiced both Engineering and property management for over 20 years. He has been involved with a number of community and business organizations; such as CRDC (now Enterprise Chaleur), the Greater Bathurst Chamber of Commerce, Downtown Bathurst Revitalization Corporation, and the Rotary Club of Bathurst.

Mr. Eddy has been a full-time consultant to the BPA since April 2006. Recently, the BPA with its partners, have invested over $6 million in infrastructure at the Port of Belledune; including the construction of two new dry bulk warehouses and the 500 meter extension of the liquid bulk pipeline. Mr. Eddy’s experience and knowledge in both engineering and construction have been key assets to the BPA during the development of these infrastructure projects. The Belledune Port Authority has experienced record breaking success in recent years and plans to expand on this success in future years with over $150 million in new infrastructure.

“By appointing Mr. Eddy to the position of Director of Engineering & Property Management,” Mr. Doucett stated, “the BPA now has leadership in place for each of the four departments. Wynford Goodman, Director of Operations; Léo-Paul Sonier, Director of Finance & Administration; and Jenna Doucet, Director of Marketing lead the other three departments.” They welcome Mr. Eddy and are eager to continue working with him as the newest member of the Management Team.

In making the announcement today, Mr. Doucett expressed his and the BPA Board of Director’s confidence in Mr. Eddy’s abilities and credentials, “We are very pleased Mr. Eddy has accepted this position and we look forward to working with him in further developing the Port of Belledune” stated Mr. Doucett.
