Port of Belledune Annual Golf Tournament Raises $20,750 for Local Student Bursaries

BATHURST, NB — September 11, 2026 — The Belledune Port Authority (BPA), together with valued partners, supply chain colleagues, and local stakeholders, hit the greens at the beautiful Gowan Brae Golf and Country Club for our annual golf tournament, raising $20,750 to support local post-secondary students.
It was a fantastic day out on the course catching up with regional partners while supporting a cause close to home. One hundred percent of all funds raised through team registrations and sponsorships go directly into the BPA Bursary Fund, helping students from our region pursue their studies at NBCC, CCNB, and regional universities.
"Every year, we really look forward to coming together as a community to give our local students a helping hand as they work toward their futures," said Denis Caron, President and CEO of the Belledune Port Authority. "At the same time, it’s always a treat to hit the course, enjoy a little friendly competition with our partners and colleagues, and give our own team a chance to step away from the office connect outside the office. We can't thank everyone enough for coming out and making the day such a success."
The BPA extends a sincere thank you to:
Our Sponsors & Participants: Your generosity and team spirit make this fundraiser possible year after year.
Prize Donors: Thank you to everyone who contributed exciting prizes for our golfers.
Gowan Brae Golf & Country Club: To the staff, greenskeepers, and catering team for hosting us, delivering great service, and preparing a delicious post-round meal.
The BPA Organizing Team: A special shoutout to the Port staff who worked behind the scenes to keep the day running smoothly.
